Woo hooo! I finished the 10 days! My concern now, however, is that I've gotten used to going to the bathroom everyday (more than once a day) and now that I'm drinking OJ, I'm afraid I might not even go poo today. I really don't want to do the laxative tea anymore and the SWF but perhaps, that's what needs to be done until I eat solids with fiber again? What have you guys done to ensure regular BM's (i.e. at least once a day) after the cleanse?

LWW: Sorry for the late response, but I think the answer is Yes to the pulp. How are you feeling and doing? Do you have an eating plan in place? Keep us posted.

Jules: Couch is all set up. Lots of soft blankets, pillows and stuffed animals. No notepad though. It's in the trash.

Yes yes! The Miracle of fasting IS the name of the book, BUTT water fasting can be really dangerous. I was cautioned by an Iridologist about this particular fast so I didn't do it. I do however read the book ever other time I cleanse. It helps to keep me on track and reminds me why I'm doing it.

If I remember correctly I believe that after I finished a cleanse I waited 4 weeks then started up again and did this 4 or 5 times until I was where I wanted to be weight wise. I'm a bit fanatical about it now though, not sure how good that is, but if I feel myself putting on weight (and I know when I'm being bad. Scones and clotted cream are not healthy diet material) I'll cleanse again. I know this probably sounds to some like it's the yo-yo syndrome but I know for a fact it isn't. I'm "Still UN-Learning" bad habits. The most I've ever gained back was 8 lbs.

Until a few months ago I would fluctuate by a few lbs....no big deal. I'd skip breakfast or eat a salad for dinner and the weight would fall off. However I had a few intense things to deal with these past few months and turned to food. Hence the 8 lbs. Some people are happy fat. I'm not. So I do something about it. It goes back to what so many people here have said, "What's worse, doing without food to try to rid our bodies of toxins and mucous, or being obese?" I've made my choice.

Hey, shhh about that elliptical. Mine might hear you and wake up! :P Actually I think there's a 2 inch thick layer of dust on it. However I have been eyeing it lately and I'm *ALMOST* to the point of getting on it and getting busy. I'm hoping to make a trip to Europe next year and I'm backpacking it so that's incentive to strengthen my body and I will. I'm tenacious that way.

I'm so glad to hear that you're sticking with it and doing well AND exercising! *Remember to make up a meal plan *Before* you end the cleanse so that it's all laid out for you. It really helps.

Love,
~Res

Ylen: Congratulations on making it to Day 10!! ;D

Everybody's different - so, break the cleanse according to Burroughs and you should be fine. I stop the swf and LAX tea on Day 10. Sometimes you'll go the next day, or sometimes it will take a day before you eliminate. I hesitate to say, "Keep us posted" but let us know how you're ...dooing? : (I can turn so sophomoric at times like these. )

Take care!

Hi RES!!! Great to see some familiar names across the after cleanse board!!! I'm doing great after the cleanse.. tho a bit hungry but im staying as strong as i can!! Yesterday, my first day off the cleanse, I was feeling a bit queezing when drinking my OJ and Grapefruit juice but i was ok today =).

Question: I did a 35 day fast and i am planning to stick with liquids like fruit juice ( OJ, Grape fruit, lemonade, and green smoothies) and the veggie broth for ATLEAST a week. I have stopped the SWF and Herbal lax tea. I have not had any eliminations since I stopped the wate elimination methods .. is that normal? In your previous post you said to wait a day or so... but if im sticking to liquids for a longer time will my eliminations only start after i begin inputting solids?? Should I keep the herbal lax... or what would u advise for the best thing to do? THANK YOU for your help!!

-Laura

As long as you're feeling fine, don't do the tea or swf. Your bowel just needs to get used to having food in there (juices, soup etc) and will work on it's own when it's ready. Remember, with the Lax tea & swf, you were *forcing* it to work. It could take up to a couple of days to start functioning on it's own and that's completely normal. Do exactly what you said you were going to do....taking it light will help the bowel ease back into a normal pattern of elimination. You get into trouble when you break the fast the wrong way and cram yourself full of food.

*Be good to yourself* and your body will respond naturally. WAY TO GO!! ;D

Res,

I wanted you to know that I told my mom about the Kerrygold butter and cheese. She got some of the butter(couldn't find the cheese---yet) and said it tastes like the butter they made when she was growing up. It really took her back to her childhood! She said she had the best toast this morning she has ever had.
Thank you so much for the tip; I really appreciate it(and so does she!).

By the way, I couldn't try it....I'm on MC2, day 7(going fine). I could hardly read about it, it sound so good! I cannot wait to try some of your recipes in about, oh, 33 days!
Thanks for your support of people on this board. You do a GREAT job.

Steph

I'm getting ready to make an attempt at what I lovingly refer to as, "Giving the Green Smoothie another chance", or "How to ruin a perfectly good piece of fruit".

I'll let ya know in a minute. Â*

So, regarding the green smoothie; the mango is nicely digesting right now and the green chard is sitting in the bowl of water. A little later I'll eat a raw spinach salad. Afterwards I'll jump up and down about 30 times to simulate a blender. There's my green smoothie. :

Well, I'm back after another 10 days on the MC. I have to say, I was not as focused the second time around, I think because I didn't put enough time in between. I barely had a taste of food when I started again and all I thought about for the past 10 days was eating.

I have been looking at some of the juicing recipes and I have been absolutely craving some of the mixtures almost imagining how it would taste, so I can't wait to try that.

I think I will do what Will is doing. Drink lemonade all day and eat a light supper.

I also think I would like to lose a few more pounds but I'm not going to force it. As long as the scale doesn't go up, I will eat as healthly as I possibly can. I have to say, I am not craving any of the old foods I was eating, I am actually craving some of those juices even though I have never tried them.

So tomorrow I will most probably sip grapefruit juice as I found the OJ upset my stomach last time, and perhaps have a few blueberries in between.

Looking forward to it....

Sue
