LAUGHING MY *SS OFF OVER THAT TOILET PAPER VISUAL. THANKS FOR THAT!

So far, the first week off the cleanse has been good. I've been totally comfortable with no caffeine, regular milk, splenda, bread of meat. We've got a great raw food restaurant in our neighborhood - went there today for a salad with flax crackers on the side. Yummy.

I'm basically doing lemonade for two meals a day, and a light supper. I supplement that with water, decaf coffee and a piece of fruit here and there if I need a snack. Are you guys getting tired of me saying this? I know I sound like a broken record, but it takes REPETITION to develop new habits!

We're going to Kauai on Friday and I plan to do the same over there. Then, after I get back, I'm contemplating a 15 day MC sometime in July.

Have those of you that recently came off the MC been able to keep your weight more or less about the same?

Will: No one will tire of your story. It's what helps and feeds the rest of us. Sounds like you're doing great!

*If* we continue to eat correctly *after* the cleanse, the weight will stay off and you may even lose more weight. If we go back to the same way of eating the weight will come back. Makes sense doesn't it? I fluctuate by about 4 or 5 lbs. And I fall back into eating things I shouldn't....but I'll pull myself out of it once it's run it's course. I'm still learning.

Hi everyone,

I haven't posted in awhile...been busy at work and went out of town for the long weekend. Well, I haven't been doing so great with my eating habits. I am hoping to do another MC in a week or two. I've gained about 5 pounds back and I want to lose it before I go on a trip at the end of the month. How is everyone doing?

Anne

Hi Anne:

Welcome to, "How to learn to eat right consistently 101" and "Who can I pay to do this for me?". Â*We're in class right now learning how to do this. I don't believe I know ANYONE who has it downpat, except for maybe Peter, but I don't really know him. Â* Â*nyuk, nyuk

I think I have to admit that I *love* being on the cleanse because it's basically "mindless". Â*Once you get into the routine you're just "there" and there's where you exist for 10 days or more and you don't have to stress over WHAT to eat. Â*So, you just follow the rules and lose a ton of weight and feel good, bad, good, bad, bad, good, good, good. Â*: Â*THE HARD PART IS EATING AGAIN...geez.

I'm hoping THIS thread can produce some REAL answers and successes for "inbetween" the cleanses because I'd rather be doing the cleanse than figuring out what to eat. Â*

My plan is to do Fit For Life by picking out food days that I like and are easy and mixing em up. Â*OR - it might be fun to do Fit for Life with others here.

What's your plan? Â*

Hi everyone,

So I've got a progress report to share. Since finishing the cleanse on Monday, I've been using the lemonade for a replacement, two meals a day.

Well, like Anne...and so many of you...I'm nervous about gaining weight in-between cleanses. So, I've gone right back to tracking everything in my Weight Watchers food diary - just like I was doing before the cleanse. The only difference is, I'm only eating one meal a day, plus healthy snacks like decaf coffee and soy, fruit, water, etc.

Well, I went to Weight Watchers again today to see where I am, cuz I'm really watching this closely, and I've lost another three pounds! This is thrilling to me. Because, if I can find a way to simply maintain my weight...or even shave a bit off between cleanses...then I'm confident I can keep working my way toward a normal weight by doing 10-to-15 cleanses every month or two.

I'll keep tracking it and let you know how I'm going. Tomorrow starts the real test - we're going to Kauai for 9 days. But I'm dedicated, and so far I have not been missing the crap I cut out of my diet -- dairy, meat, soda and semen.

Okay, I was just kidding about the semen thing. Those of you who have read the sex thread will laugh at that. The rest of you probably think I'm a freak, but c'mon -- lighten up!!!

Will

OMGosh, you found and read the sex thread? I thought that thing was laid to rest! Yikes! Threw me for a loop there. :P

Congrats on sticking to your plan and losing more weight! Yay! ;D

Hey, in Kauai eat Pineapple, mangos and coconuts! Oooh oooh and fish! Have a great time and we can't wait to hear about your vacation when you get back.

Talk to you soon!

Aloha!

Hello everyone,

Res: I don't really have a plan set in stone but I am just going to try to eat in moderation and pretty healthy for the next week. I really lost it over Memorial Day weekend. I guess I just missed food so much that I ate everything in sight. It didn't help that I was at my parent's house and my mom is a great cook. She made homemade scones and jam for breakfast every morning and amazing dinners. I've also been drinking again which never helps. So, for the next week I am going to work out and eat well. Then on June 12th, I'm planning to start the MC again. I'm not overweight but could definatley stand to lose 10 lbs and keep it off.

Will: Congrats on staying stong and losing more weight.

Anne

Scones and jam....that does me in every time. But my real downfall = scones and clotted cream. :

I know this is the "after the cleanse" board-- and I'm still on the cleanse-- but-- I have to chime in and talk about food. I have gone for some long spells without craving anything-- but now it is getting me-- and the world of food is beginning to allure. OHMYGOD-- today I thought about spaghetti--- and of all things (I've been a long term vegetarian, (20+ years) and even though now I sometimes have fish-- I nearly never (to my recollection) have red meat-- well- I craved SLOPPY JOES today. and just the idea of eating appeals to me.

this makes me worry about-- coming off the cleanse-- till now my thoughts have been "pure" but no longer. hope y'all keep this thread going by the time I'm ready to join-- sometime this week coming up.

ciao!

Hi all, just a quick "hi". I went off the cleanse right, and then immediately went back to my old habits and cravings. 2nd time that happened. I'm a bit discouraged, as one of the things the cleanse is touted to do is elminiate our cravings. I know we can force ourselves to eat healthy and not give into cravings, but one of the things they talk about the cleanse doing is reducing cravings when you go back to eating... and so far that hasn't happened for me at all, not even a tiny bit. DURING the cleanse I had high hopes and ideas for how well I wanted to eat, etc. and I think most people do that too, but afterwards I hear of very few who HAD cravings before, but didn't have them afterwards.

I even started a thread on it and basically got no posts ha so I don't think there are that many people who used to eat junk food, but stop eating it after the cleanses. I'd love to hear from some who do

I'm going to go back on the cleanse soon, as I do think it helps to detox, but I'm not counting on it reducing cravings or allowing me to keep the weight off that I lose during a cleanse any more. It's just not good for that, IMO. and I ordered some of that bentonite clay and am anxious to use that too, as I really enjoyed reading about the great stuff that was helping people with. Going to do the ole P&B shake. Does anyone in here do those?

Hope you're all doing well and feeling healthy. Love and hugs
