Hello lemonheads!

I just got a little loney from being in the After Cleanse forum. I finished my 24 days cleanse about 2 weeks ago.

I must say I am overjoyed and a little sad at the same time. Overjoyed because of Christene's success. Congratulations girl, you have come a long way and you did it! YEAH

Daisygirl, as freewitheft says you are doing the right thing. I hope you will try and go as long as you can, knowing that you will only be doing good to your body. I will definately say a prayer for you hon'.

Freewitheft, it seems you missed the MC too that's why I, like you, decided to check in here

Hang in there you people. You won't regret it 1 inch/a pound

How were you able to stick with a 24 day cleanse! Congratulations that is amazing! I did try to do 21 days for the month of August, but I broke down this past weekend and caved on day 15 eating some junk/processed food (and I was so close!!).

Do you think it wise for me just to start the cleanse over again from day one and go for 21 days again? Or would that be too taxing on my body, as I did successfully complete 14 days not even 3 days ago? Also do you have any advice/suggestions on how you endured 20+ days??

Red face Re: 2009: What day are you on and how are you doing?

I am on day 16... this day has been ROUGH! Probably the worst day of this whole cleanse. This is my fifth cleanse, but this is the longest I've gone so far. I woke up this morning with some pretty nasty yellow crap coming out of my eyes and I've had UNBELIEVABLE urges to quit with on again off again weak spells. I finally drank a bottle of water, took a detox bath (2 cups baking soda, 1 cup sea salt, hot water, soaked for 20 minutes) and then chugged two glasses of lemonade. I FINALLY feel better. I'm only dealing with a runny nose right now. Dang, I really hope tomorrow is easier. I told myself right before the detox bath that if I wanted to quit, I could, I just couldn't quit halfway through a day. If I still felt the same way in the morning, I was going to make some soup. It's amazing how when we fight with ourselves, we really put up a fight. But when we give ourselves the 'out', we talk ourselves out of taking it. I made up my mind to stick it out and off to the bathtub I went.

So I have almost finished the third day of my third mc. I am feeling pretty good, my husband thinks I have been a little grumpy and I found myself really yelling at the kids today and I have definitely dropped a few pounds. Tomorrow's another day.

Exclamation Just Starting (for the third attempt)...

Just starting today. This is my third attempt to get all the way through 10 days. I have gone up to six days before. Hoping the support of the forum and added immersion in great information and determination will get me through this time.

The time in between the cleanses is intended to resupply your body's alkaloid supply that helps fuel the uber alkaloid state that we get into during the cleanse.

End of day 15... OJ tomorrow. I thought I had 21 days of MC time, but an unexpected engagement dinner has me changing my plans yet again.

Bridge – Thank you for your words of encouragement. With what I know now, I could NEVER go down the allopathic road for treatment, so I guarantee that I’ll always be trying more natural methods to rebalance, clean and nutrition my body.

Aaah… kombucha. Glad you mentioned it. I made a batch in July but it started to go moldy so never drank it but planning to have a Mother sent to me soon so that when I get back home at the end of August, I can try to make it again. Being vegan, I really want to take it for the B12 and all the other good things that it does. I’m so glad you are taking it as it will help immensely to heal any intestinal issues and restore good bacteria.

I know about the Budwig protocol but I’m feeling that it’s the flaxseed oil that’s doing most of the good work. I’ve been having flaxseed oil in my porridge and on my salads every day for the past six months so getting plenty of good oil. I like to stick to ‘non man made’ things so cottage cheese and tofu isn’t something I’m instinctively pulled towards. Just good old vegetable juices and lots of living foods.

I was thinking to go to a fasting centre in Sydney where they supervise you doing a water fast for several weeks and monitor your blood pressure etc. I think a water fast would really help in deconstructing the tumour but for the moment, it’s not bothering me and doesn’t seem to be getting bigger so we are both co-existing happily together. Now that I know I can do the MC relatively easily I may do it again in December for 21 days. Maybe I should start Xmas eve!

Regards
Daisygirl

Hope it's okay to post this here. Came across an interesting webpage that details the different areas of the tongue and what organ they govern. I'm finding that the bottom quarter of my tongue is now always pink and as of today the right side of my tongue is also pink and clear. Is that how the tongue starts to change? I just thought you wake up one morning and the whole tongue is suddenly pink to indicate that you have done enough detoxing.

http://alexandrateagan.wordpress.com...gue-diagnoses/

So just want to ask the 'old timers' who have done several MCs before, how did your tongue change - was it gradual or did it happen all at once?

Thanks
Daisygirl

Hi Randy... the symptoms may not get worse if you have lots of the MC drink. I'm new to this so maybe some of the more experienced MC cleansers have a different take on it but I would imagine that if you had say 8-10 drinks a day that the side effects would be less than if you only had say 4-5 drinks a day. As for 'accidents' while you are climbing your maple pole (sorry bad pun!) all I can suggest is get up extra extra early to get the salt flush process totally completed at home.
