I broke my arm in the end of July and it is still really weak and sore, do you think my cleanse will make it heal faster??? Or just hurt more??

From initial post in this thread

"Stage 3 (Day 8 to Day 15)
On the latter part of an extended fast, you can experience enhanced energy, clear-mindedness and feel better than you have felt since childhood. On the downside, old injuries may become irritated and painful. This is a result of the body's increased ability to heal during fasting. If you had broken your arm 10 years before, there is scar tissue around the break. At the time of the break, the body's ability to heal was directly related to lifestyle. If you lived on a junk-food diet, the body's natural healing ability was compromised.

During fasting, the body's healing process is at optimum efficiency. As the body scours for dead or damaged tissue, the lymphocytes enter the older, damaged tissue secreting substances to dissolve the damaged cells. These substances irritate the nerves in the surrounding region and cause a reoccurrence of aches from previously injured areas that may have disappeared years earlier. The pain is good as the body is completing the healing process. The muscles may become tight and sore due to toxin irritation. The legs can be the worst affected, as toxins accumulate in the legs. Cankers are common in this stage due to the excessive bacteria in the mouth. Daily gargling with salt and water will prevent or heal cankers."

Hi browneyedgerlee-

I don't know the answer to your question, but I would hope your arm would heal faster! I don't think it will hurt worse, just because of the symptoms I've been having. My rib cage and mid back have been really achy and sore this week. It took a while for me to remember that I felt much worse the first time my mid-back was hurt in my car accident a few years ago. So the pain I felt this week was more annoying and uncomfortable than painful. Now that I recall the pain I had a few years ago, I'm hopeful that it was just toxins clearing out the old injury. My ankle is really bad with floating bone shards in it - from an injury several decades old. It will go weeks/months without bothering me, but when it hurts, I can't even walk on it. I have a cane in my closet for when that happens. Well, my ankle has been throbbing and slightly sore while on the cleanse, but not as painful as it always is when it decides to 'pain' me. So the bone-related aches and pains related to old injuries have been less severe on the MC, at least for me, than they've been before. Hope that helps!

I had severe back pain in some recent injuries for days on the cleanse, but I trusted it was healing. My back has felt really good sense. I would expect to feel something in the arm if it is like mine. Every body is different,

I have had many old injuries gradually first hurt and then feel much better.
I also have had my eye sight become very blurry for a couple of days and then I could see better than I have in years.
Different things happen each time I do the cleanse, very interesting.
Also things that I did not know were in need of healing have healed, simply amazing.

[b]Reetox Stages[B

This is the second time I have attempted the MC the first time I only went 7days. This time I am now on day 10 and I actually feel much better about the process...even though I am now experiencing muscle tightness and soreness... which I read about in these posts. I have found the info here to be invaluable and I read the posts regularly. This is my first post... Thank U all for the imfo and insights

thanks for all the great advice and shared experiences. I am a newbie on Day 11. I have not had any neg. symptoms until today...very tired and a bit achy. All I want to do is EAT, something, anything! I'm thinking maybe my body is ready for food or if I should keep going. If I do break why must I wait a few months before beginning again? Thanks for any advice! Good Luck and congrats to all!

Tina,
there are days while you are on this cleanse, were you feel the way you do, i do know that day 3,7 and 10 are the bitchy days. I beleieve mentally, 10 days is the minimum and that weighs on your mind.
If you are enjoying the cleanse, stick with it through out the day and you will see tomorrow you will feel differently. The real fun of the cleanse starts now for those that continue beyond the 10 days.

I have a couple questions:

I'm on Day 3, now, just finished taking my SWF...Is it weird that I haven't experienced any symptoms, so far? I mean, I've had a touch of bad breath, and my tounge is coated. Occasionally I'll get a quick ache in my stomach for about a minute or two, and then it goes away. Other than that, I feel just like I normally would while not on the MC. I also feel it important to mention I have been a vegan for 4 years before doing this, and was vegetarian for 2 years before that.

Also, it says days 12-20 are supposed to be the best? Like when you feel the most mentally clear? Because I went into this, hoping to clear my mind, become a bit more mentally aware, and clear myself of a bit of this hazy mind state I've been kind of feeling.

However, I don't know if I can last that long. And by that, I don't mean I can't get through it, but that I don't think I can afford it. I know it's not extremely expensive to do the MC, but I'm down to my last few bucks and have no income coming in as of yet...so I can only go so far, this time.

I plan to go for about 7-10 days, as this is my first time. Is this sufficient? I mean, the way I look at it, that would be pretty good for my very first time. Especially since I've never done a fast or cleanse of any kind before.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

I am on day 8. I felt great until last night, now I have a throat infection or strep throat or something as well as a throbbing headache. This came on very suddenly last night. My throat is burning, itching, swollen and throbbing, my sinus' and head hurt and I am completely drained of energy. Up untill last night I felt great. The only thing I did diferent yesterday was I drank fresh sugar cane cane juice instead of maple syrup. I live in Costa Rica and sugar cane cane juice is much cheaper and easier to find than maple syrup. Anybody else have this happen to their throat?
