Re: Salt water flush
Dani and Trout,
Don't be discouraged or give up. I'm on day 10 and my fiance noticed last night that my eyes were really puffy. Just be sure that you are using the right kind of salt and enough water. Do it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Wait 1/2 hour or so before drinking the lemonade. Our bodies are all different and like I've learned are at different levels of toxic. Meaning the detoxing will be more severe at times. Don't stop the cleanse. Just be positive and do what the book says. On this website go to webhome at the top and hit master cleanse. It goes through the directions of the cleanse in case you don't have the book yet. You can do it

Re: Salt water flush
Hey Gina, Thanks for the words of support! Day 3 was the most trying but since then the results have been so positive there is no way I will not continue! Clear eyes, skin feels great, tons of energy, and really clear thought. I exercise a lot, mountain bike and walk, I think that has really helped as well. Not to mention I've lost 11lbs in 6 days which is a nice bonus because I was doing it mostly for the cleanse. On to Day 7!

Re: Salt water flush
Great job Trout Keep it up. And it only gets better. I find that I am having a lot of cravings, not to be confused with hungar. But they are for healthy foods. Yeah!! I was going to stop after today but I think I'll go longer. Besides, I just went to the store yesterday and didn't get the right stuff for after the cleanse. I was reading some of the recipes and it sounds like I need a few more things for the frig. Good luck to you

Dani, sometimes it takes a day or two before people have eliminations from the SWF. By the way, the yellow water (yellow because of bile from the liver, which indicates the liver is flushing) counts as an elimination.
Burroughs says if the SWF isn't working, increase or decrease the amount slightly. I recommend you start by increasing the non-iodized sea salt slightly.
Also, your unhappiness is a symptom of toxins being mobilized and not eliminated fast enough. So, we know the cleanse is doing something, you just need to increase the elimination actions now and you'll be singing and happy with the rest of us!

Re: Salt water flush
Thank you Peter, Gina and Trout. I will stick with it and keep you updated as to my progress. I'm really looking forward to this working for me, I was just getting nervous about all the salt staying with me. I have to say also that I LOVE having this bullitin board available to everyone. It makes such a difference.
Tanks again,
Dani

Re: Salt water flush
I just finished reading the Master Cleanse book. I noticed he suggests sea salt washes. I am allergic to sea salt...can uniodized regular salt be used?

Re: Salt water flush
Hmmm... interesting question.
Are you allergic to many other things? If so, it's an indication that you have more than the usual amount of toxins and should either follow the instructions in my book for people who should take it easy or do a different type of cleanse. The Master Cleanse is very powerful and detoxes rapidly.
To answer your question about salt, I have had heard that uniodized regular salt is harder to get and keep down.
