Hi Katiebug and Quiet Queen,

Don't despair. These things happen fairly often.

Katiebug, old waste comes off in layers. My first 20 day fast was just yellow liquid from about day 6 to 17 and then some semi-solid matter passed and I felt great. The lemonade with its cayenne, nothing to digest, and the laxative tea will dissolve the old stuff. Just give it a few days.

QQ, if nothing's happening, not even yellow liquid, please read my post When things are difficult and you're worried.

Both people who have attempted to do the SWF anytime after they ate or drank something were nauseated. :-[ Don't do it. Even if you didn't become nauseated, you'd wash away the cayenne and lemon juice that we want in the intestine to dissolve the old waste.

You should be drinking a cup of herbal laxative tea in the evening and in the morning if you're not doing the SWF. If you don't think it's doing anything, switch to pure senna for a few days.

Ok maybe I spoke too soon :-X

i had a BM yesterday morning due to the laxitive tea i took the night before (and was happy and relieved!)

BUT once I took the SWF nothing happened

in fact I retained water all day....felt sick to my stomach and even gained two pounds >

so i'm officially against the SWF now because I'm losing weight muuuuch slower with it then when I did the MC without it in the past. (i haven't lost an ounce since day 3 and obviously i'm very unhappy about this fact)

I'm sure the salt water helps out certain folks...but for me it's more harm than good...this is the most discouraged I've been since I started :'(

If nothing's happening with the salt water, you need to increase the amount of sea salt you're using.

Have you read a book on the Master Cleanse?

Well Everyone, Like the book and Peter say, if you do it right you will have success. yesterday I tried the SWF and only got 3/4 of it down. Didn't have much action yesterday. Seeing how I am off of work today I decided to try again. I almost gave up again but decided to just put the glass down and try again. sure enough a few minutes later I was able to finish and I have ran into the bathroom at least 8 times. It really does work and yes, it's all that cool bile that is releasing from the body. I realize now how much better I feel today having done the SWF right. Good luck everyone!!!!! Thanks for all of your words of encouragement. ;D

Hello. This is my first time doing the cleanse and I have a couple concerns that I saw addressed in previous posts, but I still have questions.
I think I am retaining the salt water. I'm on day 5 and for the first 4 days had eliminated nothing but the bright yellow 'STUFF". This morning, nothing. For a few days now, my eyes have been extra puffy and today I noticed my face is now getting puffy too. I guess my question is this: Should I stop the cleanse, let my body get back to normal, and then start again? Or should I just lay off the swf all together? I also just ordered the book, so I wonder if I should just wait to start the cleanse again when I've read it. Thanks. Oh by the way, I've already been adding more salt and still, nothing..

Are you using exactly 2 TEASPOONS of UNIODIZED Sea Salt to 32 oz. of Luke Warm Spring Water? A lot of people make the mistake of 2 tablespoons. Good Luck!

Good morning. Thanks for your reply. Yes, I am using only 2 teaspoons of the salt. Do you think I should stop the cleanse, or just the sw part of it, or do you think it would be helpful to just drink more plain water after the swf before the lemonade? I really want to do this cleanse, but I'm starting to feel discouraged. Thanks again

Dani

Hi, As far as the SWF, everything I have read says that it is a crucial part of the program, everyday. You might want to try having the tea in the morning as well. When it comes to quiting you have made it this far and are more than half way there, but it is a personal decision. I am on Day 6 and have thought about bailing but that would have made it all for not, and I am feeling the benefits. I am going to stick with it for the full 10 days. Good luck, and hopefully thing will take a turn for you.
