wow suplushette!
Lupus is not an easy challenge-- but I hope your dedication bears fruit. It is very impressive that you made it to 32 days on the cleanse--already. Since lupus is an immune system issue-- I hope the cleanse will help. Sorry, I don't have any specific experience about the odor. It MIGHT be a detox symptom! Do you have access to a sauna? Perhaps you can help by speeding it along. Also-- are you doing the SWF and lax tea? That should also speed along detox.
Another possibility might be to try to mask the odor by external use of essential oils? (Go to your health food store and see if you can find some who's odor you can stand.)
Finally, they say that peppermint tea may help with odor in general-- so try drinking some between lemonades.
I work at a medical research institute--and I am now working on a paper (by researchers who have done the work to show) that I3C--a derivative of broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables-- can help (in a mouse "model" of) Lupus. It can be obtained in supplements in a safe form known as DIM. It also helps with converting the estrogen balance to a safer form, which helps prevent breast and cervical cancer. Sorry if this seems like an ad, and I'm not recommending any particular vendor, but I DO THINK THE STUFF WORKS MIRACLES-- and is inexpensive & completely SAFE for humans:

It would be a good idea to increase your uptake of cruciferous vegetables whenever you do decide to end your cleanse!
BEST OF LUCK TO YOU! and feel free to email me if you have questions.

I have lupus as well, in fact I did a search to find out if anyone one with lupus has had any success with the cleanse. I use supplements and that has helped me a great deal, I am starting the cleanse next week.
I feel good as a result of the supplements and have not been on medication in over a year. :D as a result. But I still have bouts with heartburn and shortness of of brealth. I hope the cleanse will help with that and cleaning my system. thanks

Hey, thanks! Suplushette. I'd never heard of the Hallelujah diet before. Sounds very interesting. Thanks for sharing it and the helpful URL.
I just learned yesterday that I have Lupus.:( So how timely to find your post! I thought it had been ruled out. I'm retaking some tests & hope that they find there were false positives in the lab results. Not likely, but it's worth a shot! I felt the same way when I was diagnosed with MS (and for regular readers of this board, I'm not talking about Maple Syrup - sure wish I were!) *Surely, not me!* I've learned that managing a disease isn't that different from managing other things. Just quite a bit more expensive. My priorities have certainly been rearranged with my health being #1 for now. I'm interested in hearing more about how you manage things. You can send me a private note or e-mail, if you'd like.
Congratulations on joining the Lemonhead brigade! Sounds like your system is going to be so healthy with the combination of your diet/cleanse routine. That takes a lot of discipline, huh? I assume this isn't your first MC? 40 days is very impressive. Have you had any Lupus-related detox symptoms? Any temptation to quit (like the rest of us)?:p
I'm finishing up Day 15 and happy I've made it this far!8)
