Ive looked on the website and related links and two different books and actually saw photos of wierd stuff people had eliminated. It looked to be about two feet long and intact (hard) and dark in color. Described as like tire rubber.I am on day 8 and have only had the mucous butterscotch pudding eliminations so far. (sorry if Ive ruined butterscotch pudding for you). When do you pass the wierd stuff and does everyone achieve that? Do I have to extend the fast past 10 days?

I am also interested in the black stuff. As far as I know it is compacted toxins that are stuck against the colon wall. While fasting, they are able to break lose and be expelled from the body.
What day of the fast do people experience this?
Also, 45utahman, where did you read and see pictures of this? I would like to learn more and see the pictures.
I was initially only going to do the fast for 10 days, but now I think I am going to cleanse until the black stuff comes out.
Anyone who has experienced this -- we would LOVE to hear about it!

dear 45utahman!
I have been on the cleanse now 38 days (like I told you in the "depression" thread)-- and I have NOT seen black stuff coming out-- but more like "butterscotch" to darker brown emanations-- which I believe ARE NOT the result of stuff ingested recently. Have a meeting in a minute so I'll be brief, here's what Peter has to say:
"I think the reason you don't hear of people having mucoid plaque or black ropes come out on the Master Cleanse is that the Master Cleanse is designed to dissolve the mucus. That is what the cayenne pepper and not eating solid food does.
The psyllium husk and bentonite clay are more of a mechanical cleanse pushing stuff out of the colon rather than dissolving it."
I would add, that the lemonade, is also part of that disolving action, and, as he says elsewhere all three things done daily (not in this order) work synergistically:
1-lemonade to disssolve (kind of like "Draino" to clean the pipes! :))
2-laxative tea, part of the "agitator" cycle in a washing machine
3-SWF to FLUSH it out.
---
once you work on it for a while, you will agree! it is an AWESOME combination!
Good Luck 45utahman on your cleansing/healing journey!

Thank you for the great explanations. I am so impressed with your endurance and legnth of your fast.I was able to go the entire 10 days and finished the beginning of last weekend. I wasn't hungry after the third day and felt really clear minded except for two days.I continued to go to the bathroom each day of the fast. The Salt waterflush was the most unpleasant aspect of the fast but I followed it religously with the exception of the maple syrup. I did not take any syrup after the third day and was able to lose 20 lbs ion the 10 days.

Mucoid Plaque:
So I've seen health websites showing mucoid plaque, but I haven't found any "traditional" doctors that state that Mucoid Plaque actually exists. Some have even stated it's a myth or urban legend.
They believe that what some call mucoid plaque is actually the colon cleansing herbs/supplements that people are taking built up in their bodies and the intestines are used as a cast and that's why it has that shape.
Mucoid Plaque seems to only come out of people who use these colon cleansing treatments.
No doctor who has done any bowel surgery or shoved a camera up there has seen mucoid plaque....at least from the articles I've seen.
So now I don't know who to believe.

i've heard that mucoid plaque---the kind you see on the internet---is a myth, as well.
http://www.quackwatch.org/04ConsumerEducation/QA/mucoidplaque.html
http://quackfiles.blogspot.com/2004/12/mucoid-plaque-dubious-idea.html
i lean more toward it being a myth than anything else, but always retain an open mind.

From what i've read some people do pass mucoid plaque on the MC, but most people dont. The lemon and cayenne dissolves the impacted fecal matter and plaque. Thats why the BMs are mostly liquid. To get the plaque to come out intact, people usually need to do the psyllium/bentonite shakes.
Here is a link to some good info on mucoid plaque:
http://www.cleanse.net/newsite/articles/mucoid_plaque.html
Dr. Anderson devised an herbal formula that will dissolve the plaque in higher doses the same way the MC does. The last time I did the MC, I combined it with Dr. Anderson's herbs.....woah man, that was serious stuff. It was still liquid BMs like the MC, except what came out was the most foul smelling black tar-like sludge.
The MD at quackwatch is totally wrong on some points. That guy is a fanatic, and will use flimsy evidence and studies to discredit anything he disagrees with.
The argument saying the "mucoid plaque" is really the herbs and psyllium building up is false, because there are cases where people have eliminated soild plaque after only one day of doing a cleanse. And this stuff is like hardened rubber tires that is tough to cut with a knife even, there is no way any psyllium or herbs could form into that kind of consistancy overnight. Also, how would you explain cases where people on the MC only are eliminating solid plaque? Could lemonade and cayenne form a solid rubberlike substance?
The statement that mucoid plaque seems to come only out of people doing colon cleanses.....well that is logical. It is hard to get out, because it is mucus that is secreted to protect the intestinal lining. It takes the form of the intestines where it is secreted.
There are many MDs who have advocated colon cleanses, but you don't see many today that do.

Yes, I am going to have to agree with what is said here about "quackwatch." It seems that anything that is not mainstream is suspect and discredited. You always have to consider the source and the possible "agendas" of those who try to discredit anything that does not fit his/her paradigm.

This is really gross - but has anyone eliminated any parasites? How possible is it for us to have parasites and would the MC help to eliminate them?
Res
January 3rd, 2007, 01:36 PM
Yes, it's more than possible to have parasites - if you've eaten a lot of fast food prepare to see weird things - maybe.
Go to curezone.com: type in parasites. Unfortunately I don't have the stomach for it and have only heard the horror stories about worms/parasites etc. Members have "passed" these worms and came here to tell about it. lol :) So the good news is yes, the MC can help.
I was going to say "keep us posted" but that's at your own discretion. ;) lol

Thanks Res for the info!!!!
I will try to check out that site - have a bit of a weak stomach myself!!!! Good to know that the MC can help with them, just in case. I have eaten my share of fast food and junk food in the past so there's no tellin what's in my body. I've heard that it can be quite common.
Ok - I will keep you posted (maybe...lol)

also, sadly sushi may have parasites in the raw food :( If you have a compromised immune system, one runs the risk of having parasites. We all eat food that have parasites, and our acids kill them, though sometimes having a lowered immune system, does not do the job.
believe me, working in the medical field that i work in, our patients have been diagnosed alot :(

Oh my yes! I forgot about that! I used to work for the County Departmental Health dept with Health Inspectors and that's when I found out that "FISH" (as in ALL FISH) have worms. I've SEEN them!
Worms (http://www.fao.org/wairdocs/tan/x5951e/x5951e00.htm) Worms! (http://www.fao.org/wairdocs/tan/x5951e/x5951e00.htm) And More Worms!!! (http://research.myfwc.com/products/product_info.asp?id=1952)Supposedly though they're not supposed to adversely affect humans. Uh huh... ;)

I wasn't sure where to post this but I need some help! I've not been able to do the saltwater flush so I've been taking the Smooth Move tea in the pm and am. This morning I've not elimintated anything!!!! Feeling very sluggish and tired. Any other suggestions? Can I take a product called Colon Cleanse? They are capsules that I've used in the past just for help with constipation. They always work. I want to make sure that I'm having the eliminations so I don't have all these toxins floating around in my body. Thanks for the help and please just let me know if I should be posting this question elsewhere.
I appreciate all the support and motivation on this website.
Day 3 and despite no "pooping" - I'm moving ahead! Hey, I'd rather see some "worms" coming out than nothing at all!!!!! LOL

Hey Lady: :)
No Colon Cleanse capsules: sorry.
You're not the Lone Ranger regarding slow or no eliminations and when this happens you do usually feel sluggish and pretty crappy. Keep going with the lemonade and lax routine and lets see how you feel tomorrow. You may want to increase your water intake. Also, make sure you're drinking AT LEAST the minimum (6) glasses of lemonade.
A nice cup of peppermint tea could be quite soothing. :)

p.s. for you we could change the topic to "No stuff coming out". Hang in there, it will happen.

Thanks Res for all of your support and encouragement and wisdom! I so appreciate it. I will try to drink more water and I will attempt the swf this weekend. My fiance stopped and bought me some peppermint tea at the health food store today so I will also sip a bit of that. He's going for 20 days but I'm so glad that I have someone here to share my "interesting elimination experiences" with! Quite bonding!!!! LOL

hikingchick you might want to warm up the SWF thats what I do and its the only way I can get it down. Believe me its worth it. Within 15-30 min everything is coming out!! I try to walk before I do it also so that I am thirsty and makes it more tolerable. Hope this helps, good luck!

Thanks BuffyS42 - I will definitely try that - I think my fiance warms the water. For some reason he has no problem with the swf at all. I will give it a shot on Saturday and see how it goes. I suppose I need to do whatever it takes if I want to reap the benefits. How long have you been on the fast?

i have seen those pictures..they are nasty!
is Dr. Andersen also promoting the fast with no food, or can you do his while eating healthy?
I am really interested in that.
I am on my second day on the master cleanse..not hungry at all...just want to eat for the taste of it! Not too bad though.

I warm my SWF and it is still terrible for me to drink. But I play the mental game of knowing that it is helping to remove the terrible toxins in my body. By far the SWF is the worse part of the program.
I guess everyone is different with their eliminations. Mine are watery and mostly in the AM. I feel much better each day after the elimination.
I'm on my second cleanse and it is Day 4 for me. :D

Hey hikingchick,
I posted on another thread...exactly the same thing happened to me on the same day- Day 3. But I think that it must be the AM tea. I was fine the first 2 days when I did the SWF in the AM, but on the third day I had a meeting early and didn't want to chance the SWF kicking in, so I had the tea instead. Then nothing! No BMs all day! I kinda freaked out because this is my 4th cleanse and nothing like that has ever happened. But this morning I did the SWF again and we're back in business.:) So, I know it's kinda awful, but doing the SWF is pretty much the answer to the "no poopin'" problem.
Take care and good luck,
Tisha

Hi everyone - day five for me is almost over!!!! Yippee!!!! I can't believe that I've gone almost 5 whole days. Well, I tried the swf this morning but I was feeling so dizzy and slightly nauseaus that it was hard to get down - only drank about half of it so needless to say just a little bit came back out! I'm feeling bloated but other than that I feel pretty good. We went for a bike ride last night and that is the first time I've exercised since going on the fast. Amazed me that I had that much energy and I haven't eaten! My mental clarity is so much better and I have a tendancy towards depression and anxiety. I feel so much calmer. My worst times seem to be in the mornings when I get up. Our usual routine is to go to the gym in the am before work but that is not going to work for me while fasting. I have very vivid bizarre dreams every night and wake up very dizzy and light headed. Then after having my tea (or swf today) and having a "little elimination" and then drinking some of my lemonade, I feel better. I feel really good - just still concerned that I'm not detoxing cuz I'm not having very severe detox symptoms and I KNOW my body is toxic! Not that I want to feel sick, I just want to reap all the benefits of this fast. So, I will be heading into day 6 tomorrow and I was planning on going 10 days but will continue longer if I can. I used to have a problem with constipation so I've taken cascara capsules frequently for a few years. Probably not a good habit to get into. So, anyways, that is my update and it is strangely funny to me that I'm sharing stories about my bowel movements on a message board! But I'm so grateful you all are here, I really am.
Res, you are an inspiration and we're quite blessed to have you here. Just love your sense of humor. You are so right - I'm talking about things (pooping and stuff!) with you all that I wouldn't even share with some of my dearest friends!!!!
TishaT, I know you are right and tomorrow I will try EVEN HARDER to drink the entire SWF! Mind over matter...
Thanks to everyone for your suggestions and responses. Happy fasting! :) WE CAN DO IT!

I am a bit worried because I am on day 3 and I am bleeding when I have a bowel movement. It started yesterday and I thought it was blood due to being on my period. It is bright red and I am not feeling any pain, I actually feel good and energetic. The SWF is making me have movements that seem as though I am peeing out of the other end. Should I be concerned?

hey capricorn79, the "butt pee" as we call it is normal when you do the swf. that's exactly what you want to happen. to break down the stuff and flush it out.
As for the blood - that's a little strange. Is it your period or not? if it's coming from your nushnush then that's ok but if it's coming from your tushie then there's a problem.

I'm on day 7, and this morning after my tea (can't stand the SWF, but will try that again tomorrow), I didn't have a BM, the only thing that came out was some gas and a bit of blood (kinda mucusy). It's not my period, and its definitely coming out the backend. I am feeling fine. But I am worried. Yesterday I only had one BM (but on all previous days I had been going like a champ). Do I need to stop? Will wait it out and see what the next BM brings out.

hmm blood is strange. but mucus is not. so i wonder if the mucus is moving out the blood that was there before. have you been straining to go or having any other problems?
when i do the tea i don't usually get a BM until several hours later. the swf gives immediate results.
check out the newbies thread (link below) for tips on how to take the swf.
if you're really worried stop but weird things happen on the cleanse... so it could just be one of those things. it's really up to you.

Well nothing wierd is coming out but my tush feels chapped. I had quite a few eliminations this AM due to the SWF but by the last one my butt started to feel chapped and it burned a little when I urinated.
Is this due to all the bathroom visits I have been making and what's coming out? Is this normal? How can I help this?

Absolutely Not! You need the nutrition in the maple for the duration of the cleanse. Possibilities of not using the maple are;
-Your body detects that it's not getting nutrients so it pulls from unnecessary body things such as hair, nails, skin etc. ok? :)

Dear Stacy - don't worry! The first hour of my day is spent dealing with liquid eliminations (first from the tea last night, then after I drink the SWF - which I start about 5 minutes after I wake up). After that no BMs the rest of the day (usually). On day 5 I had one extra BM, but it was not an emergency-run-to-the-toilet type.

Alyssa, Res is right, you do not want to cut out MS. Just wait it out. I've lost weight by not lessening my MS, and others have as well. For me, sometimes my weightloss doesn't even show til the last few days or until I start breaking the fast. Either way, focus on the fact that you are cleansing your body and losing wastes - which is way more important.
StacyH - allow yourself 2 hrs in the morning after doing the swf to get everything out and you're good to go. if you do the tea, the BM will come later in the day, maybe 2 - 4 bms and you'll feel them coming.

drinking ALOT more water and exercising helps in the weight loss. I used 2 tbsp in my drinks and lost an average of 12+ pounds each time I did the MC, but that was secondary to cleansing and detoxifying. Everyone is different and weight loss varies greatly. Do NOT cut out the MS. Whoever is doing that is putting their body and health in jeopardy. Hair loss, muscle loss, kidney and liver damage. etc. Not good.
Stick with the program as written, it really works! :)
take care.
