I read in the MC book and have read several posts on this message board about how mucus forming foods are bad. I came off my first ten day MC about two weeks ago and have tried to avoid dairy and honey.

What does an excess amount of mucus do to the body? Are there any other foods that are highly mucus forming?

After doing the cleanse and seeing how much mucus my body eliminated, I am having a hard time ingesting any such foods. This I am grateful for but would like to know more about the subject. Any help or insight is appreciated.

Most common effects are sinus congestion, allergies, headaches and it's one of the things that cause mucoid plaque/junk sticking to the colon walls for one. It's also really acidic and lowers your PH balance. Basically any proccessed food will do it but dairy and meat is just the worst.

Just try doing a Google Search for "Mucus forming foods" and you should come up with more detailed information.

Thanks for the info. I did google 'mucus forming foods' and got some great information about acid and alkaline foods.
