Hello all,
I am on day 7 of the MC and, it has been brought to my attention, that it is also possible to detox heavy metals(mercury) from your system and this may not be a good thing if you loosen the heavy metals into your system. I, personally, don't feel that this is an issue but am wondering if anyone has any insight into the heavy metal detoxing that could occur and if there is a way to detox them safely from your system while you are on the MC.
Any info would be appreciated. :)

I have read about heavy metal detoxification (chelation therapy) and it seems a bit more difficult than just following the MC. Fasting usually rids the body of toxins but from what I've read, heavy metals usually need a chelator or something to bind to the metals and then draw them out of your body via the kidneys. There are many chelating agents that can be purchased at health food stores, but that seems to be a separate thing.
I don't think you have to worry about the heavy metals while on the cleanse. If you are concerned about your body's level of toxic metals, I would suggest looking into chelation therapy following the MC.
I hope this was helpful in some small way.

Yeah that was going to be my suggestion as well. Just doing it after the MC if you're worried. I don't know about the MC taking care of it. It probably helps, but you might need something else just like some people take colon cleansers after the MC.

Thank you both for responding. I, by chance, work in a health food store and we have a product used for chelation. I will further investigate it and see if it is something that I could benefit from.
Thanks again for responding.
