My friend is on days 8 of the MC and has had a bad cold since day 3. She is worried because it doesn't seem to be getting better and has moved into her chest. Having had pneumonia 6 times, she is worried it will turn into that.
Is her cold a normal detox symptom or do you think she should be worried? Any help is appreciated

I am having the same problem. This started for me on day 12. I am on the 2 day of this cold, which is also moving into my chest. The response I got was that this is part of the detox effect. I have wanted to take medicine, aspirin anything because I also have a headache as well. I am going to hang in there for a few more days. I hope it blows over quickly. I have flu symptoms, I went from feeling light and cleansed on day 8 to tired, sore with headaches and the works day 12. I have switched to a raw food diet to slow down the detox effects. I am drinking at least a gallon of water per day. I also found out that some of the heavy detoxing can take place after day 10. I also think a lot has to do with your lifestyle prior to the master cleanse. I did allot of dairy before so that could be what I am feeling. I also smoked ciggies, i quit 6 yrs ago but smoked for a good 15 yrs before that. Maybe 2 packs a week. Let me know how you are doing?

I would say, based on my own experience, that it is a detox symptom. All that mucus build up from all the past problems she has had.
tell her to keep going and to get as much of the phlem out as she can... blowing her nose, coughing it out....
Keep hydrated and let the body work...
I am willing to bet that when all is said and done, she will not be seceptible to pnemonia any longer, provided she keeps mucus forming foods out of her diet.

Hello,
This is my first day of my first cleanse, I have one question I did the MC exactly the way the book says but tonight when I got home I had a bloody bowel movement... Is that normal?
