View Full Version : A short fast first?

Hey all,

I know I've made a few posts stating this now, and still haven't yet got at it, but I'm so eager to the cleanse, and I can't wait. I've been reading and planning on it since December.

Thing is, this weekend I have a social gathering, that has been MONTHS in planning, and it's for a friend's birthday. In other words, drinking is pretty much ensuing.

I was wondering, to maybe hold me over until I can really start the cleanse (I was thinking this coming Sunday), would it be feasable to try a two or three day mini-cleanse first? Or perhaps a water fast for a day or two? And if so, how careful should I be, when going back into food? As careful as if it were a full on cleanse?

Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you. :)

tree: This could be interesting. Well, knowing that a 10 day cleanse encapsulates huge benefits, but not being able to do the entire thing right now, you might as well do a 3 day-er. <-- This isn't official ya know. ;) But heck, do it and let us know how it went. You would probably want to break the fast in the same way though...be kind to the foodless tummy. Know what I mean?

Please post how it goes, k? :)

Love,
~Res

I can only speak for myself, but if I was doing any alcohol drinking I would first detox from that with simple small healthy food meals and hydrate hydrate hydrate for a few days to both clean out and rebuild. Then I would do themastercleanse for the full 10 days. Alcohol can really do a mess up on the body, even if you don't feel a hangover. As a former professional therapist, I helped detox many many people. I would not advise a water fast or any type of a fast after heavy drinking, partying. Of course that is up to you as always, no one knows your constitution better than you. My advice is to clean out and rebuild but eat very healthy raw/vegan meals (small meals, several a day), then very consciously do themastercleanse for the required 10 day minimum. It really helps to read both Stanley's and Peter's books for inspiration and encouragement plus excellent knowledge during themastercleanse.

Great post innerpilot...

I would also add that if at all possible, keep the drinking to a social Minimum... it really is not good for your body or your wellbeing...
Just my opinion of course....

Well, the drinking is for a friend's birthday. We've got something really special planned, and yeah. I know I'll be drinking.

I was talking about doing one BEFORE the weekend though, just a quick one. I was thinking maybe just abstainin from food for a couple of days, or whatever. And then, once I recover from the weekend, do the actual cleanse.

My drinking is always kept to a minimum. Once every two weeks is about all I do.

I knew you were talking about "before". ;) Let me know how it goes.

I agree with innerpilot about the water though. Try to drink lots before\during and after the partying. http://www.clicksmilies.com/s0105/party/party-smiley-006.gif It helps. ;)
