I'd love a buddy I'm aiming for 14-21 days and this is my first MC fast. Is anyone else interested in a buddy?

day 2 is almost done for me and I have to say I don't feel hungry....and I've done water fasts up to 13 days and felt like I was starving the whole time! I really hope I am able to break this fast RAW. Does anyone know how much nuts one can consume when going raw?

pinealoppe: Hiya, I can buddy up with you on Friday. :)

As far as nuts go, they can pack on the pounds, so just monitor your intake. You might want to consider eating "seeds" too...sunflower etc. Those don't have as many calories.

Hiya Sig & Angie! http://www.kurts-smilies.de/wink2.gif

Talk to you soon! :)

Hi everyone, i would like to join you guys on your cleanse. I drank my tea last night and did my SWF this morning. This is my 2nd cleanse, the first one was 12/4/05 and I stayed on it for 31days and felt great. I lost 15lbs and have kept off 10 of them. My daughter is also cleansing w/me she is 15yrs old. her first cleanse was also in december and she lasted 15 days. she quit because school vacation was over. I will keep you all posted on our progress.

I am starting day 1 of 10 today. I've still only lasted 5 days on cleanses, but really want the full effects of a 10 day cleanse this time. Preparing for vacation that starts on March 3, so that will give me time to do 10 days, and then properlly come off the fast. So exciting! I'm glad there are others around these days, as the weekend is always a killer for me.

I'm on Day 1 toda to... Drank the tea last night, swf this morning... and just sipping Lemonade while I work. My first goal is 10 days - from there maybe two weeks. I'll see how the first ten go!

Looking forward to checking back and sharing stories... All the best for health & clarity to you all.

Wrote a bunch of stuff, and must not have properly posted! I did the SWF this morning. It didn't have all the results I'd hoped for, but know that it was the first one, so the next one will be better, as tummy will be emptier. I don't get hungry as fast after doing the SWF. hmmmm 18 more pounds to goal, I haven't weighed today, will probably weigh tomorrow just to make sure the first day or two has GREAT weight loss. It usually does, yeah!

I started the fast yesterday, that means today is my second day.
I would love one (or more) buddy/ies.

Right now my daughters are with their father, they will be coming back to my house tomorrow, which means I'll be cooking for them.
I am a little nervous about that...

Good Morning my fellow lemonheads
last night was rough, I wanted to eat so so bad. I wasnt hungry, but the smell of my sons carne asado burrito was getting to me. I didnt cave, thanks to my daughter, we made some lemonade and picked up around the house.
This time aroung I believe I am experiencing some detox symtoms. My nasal passage is draining and i have a slight earache. I didnt even know my nose was clogged. i also am very drowsey. weird, im not tired, but my head and body feel lifeless?? on my first cleanse, i felt great, no detox symptoms at all. I guess my system was that bad off. I will get through it. I will keep reading the board for inspiration. keep in touch and please post your experiences good or bad.

OK - today is day three... it's a rough one. My head hurts, I can't concentrate on work, and all I keep thnking about it how hungry I am. Very little energy - sitting here at work feeling like I could sleep at any moment. I am just wanting to get through today without caving to the cravings! I'm freaking out a bit though! Help!

Can I join this little group? I'm on the second day of my first cleanse. So far, so good and I'm already down 6.5 lbs...which is very motivating! I'm not hungry, but the pot pie my poor son is forced to eat because I'm not quite ready to cook for anyone at this point smells damn good! I found myself looking very longingly at the oranges that hubby brought home from Costco yesterday.

I'm shooting for a 30 day cleanse, but I'll 'settle' for 10 with no guilt, this being my first one. We have a big trip coming up in April, going to Madrid (can't wait!) but the thought of squeezing into an airplane seat for 6 hours has spurred me on to pursue drastic measures!

SO, here's wishing well to all, I hope to hear (and share) lots of good stories!

I almost forgot! I haven't read much about incorporating exercise into the cleanse. Mind if I ask what everyone is doing in the way of exercise? I have a lot of weight to lose, and have always heard that fasting slows the metabolism way down, so I've been very diligent about getting at least 30 minutes of something done (walking, stationary bike, treadmill, weights) each day. Has anyone had any problems maintaining their stamina? I haven't had any problems so far, so I will continue this way for now.

I'm just curious... (nosy)

I would also like to join this group. I am going to start tomorrow and hopefully last at least 14 days. (The food will still be there after that)

I just started this morning....I drank the tea last night (I've used the tea before), and it worked like crazy this morning. It's about 3:30, and I'm doing ok.....I've promised my self I would try 24 hours first....then if I can do it I'll add another 24....I'm not going to put too much pressure on my self, but if I could do 10 days - well that would be wonderful!

Hi Gang: :)

Pinealoppe: Progress report? :)

Tammy: How ya doing? :)

JJ: Still hanging with the cleanse? :)

gypo: No, fasting does not permanently slow down your metabolism. :)

Patricia: Let us know how your first day goes tomorrow. :) I may be starting with you.

Katrina: For exercise I'm walking (golf course 3.3 mi after work and on the weekends). If I feel up to it I'm going to follow my favorite weight lifting DVD. Most of the time though I don't feel up to it. We'll see. :)

How are you doing on Day 3?

T42: Yup, the food will still be there after 14 days. lol :)

Knjkleponis: Taking it one day at time works! You really can do this. :)

I'm hoping to start and continue for 10 days beginning tomorrow. Had a Dr visit today and she might ask me to stop or wait. I'll find out test results tomorrow. However, I'm going in to work prepared for it. Yay! ;)

Check in! How's everyone doing? *Also* there's a lot of activity in the "What day are you on and how are you doing thread" if you want to pop in. :)

*Smooches,
~Res

p.s. listen to lots of *music* ;D

Thanks for the support everyone. It really helps to have some others in this with you.
I got up at 4:30 this morning to take the SWF. I couldn't do all of it, only about 1/2. All the notes on here really got me scared (I'd throw up, or gag, or something).....So tomorrow I'm going to psych my self out of it.
The elimination looked like mustard, stone ground ;)
I'm on day two, down 3 lbs, and feel pretty good! Looking forward to the next couple of days.

Res: Are you playing golf as you walk that course, or just walking? I've gone a few times with hubby, but I prefer to just walk the course and enjoy the sights and sounds and just be outside...the game is extremely frustrating!

I posted on the "What day are you on..." board too, so I won't repeat my entire post here, just wanted to say that I'm on my fourth day and I'm loving how I feel!

I've lost 8lbs so far. I may be imagining it, but my jacket felt a smidge looser this morning when I put it on. Imagination or not, it's that much more incentive to keep going!

I hope everyone has a great day~whatever day you're on!

I've done the 10- day cleanse before, and I kept on exercising as I usually do on regular basis.
I did my turbo kickboxing and pilates, and walked. You're going to have so much energy...use it for a good cause :).

DAY 2 (Goal: 20 days... or maybe 40...- summer is coming) :)

Katrina: Not golfing, just walking with my mp3 player. I love the outdoors, sights, smells, sounds (yup even with the mp3 player blasting I can hear birds. :))

Well, my little buddies; Day 1, currently I have the kind of headache that makes me feel like throwing up (started early this morning *before* the cleanse) so I'm going to go and relax. I usually don't get headaches but have had more than my share these past few months. yuk

Take care and hope to check in with you later.

Love,
~Res

Hi everyone, just checking in. I hate to admit this, but i caved in after the 4th day. That was last friday. My daughter and I plan on starting tomarrow(again). I know we are going to it. We are going to treat ourselfs to a bodywrap and facial when its over. So we have set a goal for ourselves, a physical goal, i know that a cleaner inside should be a goal in itself, but we need a little more incentive. So I will post again, after i get through the 1st week, that seems to be the hard part for us. Keep up the good work and stay strong.

Hi everyone. =) I am knew to this site and to MC. A co-worker of mine is currently on it and I have been supporting him all the way because I definitely want him to succeed so I can get myself started on the MC and get through it myself.

I am very happy I came across this site. You all seem so nice, supporting and motivational. I have already set my MC start date, March 28th. For the past week I have been reading the MC booklette over and over and researching as much as I can to make sure I do this right. I have always wanted to try a cleanse but never knew how or what was the right and healthy way. Until my co-worker gave me the answer, MC.

As much as I consider myself a healthy and active person the past few years I have felt totally gross on the inside. Even when I work out I still don't feel completely energized and happy on the inside. The past 2 months I have been eating very healthy, watching my portions, eating no junk and working out regularly. I am hoping the MC will do the job and give me the fresh start I have been longing for.

Thanks for hearing me out! Best of luck for those of you on the MC right now. Advice from my friend on the MC right now, "Just know the next day will be better." ;)

I will be joining you guys soon...'til then!

Hi,

I am in day 5 and would also enjoy having a buddy.
