Wow!!! I started the master cleanser on Feb 1st and on the 2nd I had lost 5 pounds. Since then I have lost 2 pounds everyday. It has only been a week but I'm thrilled with the results, and I feel great!! I have never in my life seen such fast results. To do the diet takes tremendous discipline and I found my hardest challenge was facing the "visual temptations". Since the diet cured my hunger pains I wasnt hungry or felt the need to eat, but if I smelt food or saw food, I thought that I needed to have it. I cured this by (hope I dont gross anyone out) but I would chew whatever food I thought I just had to have at that very moment or would surely die *smile* (like chips, pizza, or hamburgers) and then i would spit it out making sure not to swallow, and gulp down the lemoade as fast and as much as I could, tricking my mind into thinking that I had just eaten this food. I did this whenever I felt the need to "chew" something or when I mourned for the food taste. It worked and I'm forever changed. The diet has not only cleansed my body but my mind as well. I have learned in this short week that food is tool of survival and I will never again abuse that priviledge again in life!! I am so happy!!!!! For anyone trying the cleanser for the 1st time...HANG IN THERE!! TAKE IT ONE DAY AT A TIME, and if you slip up get right back on the band wagon asap. You can do it!! (P.S dont forget the teas/salt bathing it helps more than you'll know!!)

Hi all,
I just got the books I ordered and will be starting my MC on Thursday. I read through all the posts here and it sounds like this is working for you all.
I am new to this. I really hope that this works for me. I not only need to lose a lot of weight, but my main concern is the mercury contamination. A friend and I were both contaminated at the same time. He died last year and I am so tired of the doctors not knowing what else to do for me. I really hope this helps get these toxins out.
I also am hoping to get back on track again. Clean out my system and get back to a basic veggie diet. I use to love eating an only veggie diet.

Welcome to all of you...
Dancer148... I sure hope that the cleanse can help you with your mercury problem. I am thinking that it will... It is a very lifechanging event.
You need to be ready to do this cleanse. Stay focused and keep hyped. This BB is awesome for answering any questions you may have and for support.
I am about to start again for the third time. I was going to wait until Lent, but feel the need to start now and then again... possibly...
Best of luck to you all and welcome once again...
Enjoy the journey...

Fancy1, thank you for the nice welcome. I am looking forward to doing this. But at the same time I am nervous.
It does look and sound like there is a world of support is here. I went in last night and saw where several journaled their fast. Most had postive things to say and seemed pleased with their results.
I do have a concern about weight loss. I need to do this to get the toxic junk out of my body, but also hope to lose some weight, if not all. Honestly, I need to lose a total of 152 pounds. I have seen talk shows and health programs where people have lost huge amounts of weight and most have always had a big problem with sagging skin. It was really bad on them. Of any of those that you may have heard of losing a good deal, have any reported a problem with sagging skin?
I am 6' and weight 300 pounds. My idea weight is 148. And want to be back to raw foods. Life was so good mentally, spiritually and physically then.
Thanks again.

Congrats on the weighloss! Not to be the pain in the butt here but just so you know chewing and spitting is a form of a "new" eating disorder so please just make sure you dont get addicted to doing this...

Dancer148.. Just concentrate on your body and what it is going through... the weight will come off....yes there can be sagging skin... exercise can help with most of it if you you start when you start the cleanse... walking is a wonderful exercise and least expensive... I use my treadmill and my little one pound weights.. used to use soup cans until I broke down and bought some pretty pink ones... Just take the journey one day at a time... don't expect the full amount of weight to be gone with just one cleanse... you will / may find that this cleanse will be done many, many times over the rest of your life... You will see ... you feel so energized and so good... it is truly amazing and you go through a lot mentally as well... so listen to your body... and enjoy the journey...
Best of luck to you....

Hey Charms, how have you been doing since this thread? You may have said in another thread, but I'd love to hear how you are doing, if you are still on it and how much weight you lost, etc.?
So pineapple, it's an eating disorder to chew it and spit it out? Damn ha cause I thought that sounded BRILLIANT! ha You're not throwing up or anything, so I'm confused as to why that's a disorder? I read a book a while back that advocated that when you eat red meat to do just that.. chew it thoroughly to get the nutrients, and then spit the meat out so as to not put it in your colon... it was supposed to be healthy to do that.. so I'm confused...
Anyway Charms, hoping to hear how you're doing :D

charms, that posting made me laugh so hard! the first mc i did i started the day after thanksgiving '05. i went through periods of doing just what you said. it wasnt the cravings that got me, but the meals i would make my son. i would go nuts smelling all the spices and just being near the food. but i made it through 24 days and felt great. i lost a lot of weight too. i am back on because i need to get my diet back on track. i am working i neating mostly raw food, but stress turned me towards comfort. i put on a few pounds and want to get back on track. this time around i am making my son more raw meals. i hope it helps, if not, i will have food in my mouth, spitting it out to deal. :D

Hello all! Congrats to all of you for doing so well on your cleanses...I envy you! Help!! I started my first ever MC last Friday and I quit at the end of day 2. It was unbearable for me...not only was I having to choke down the lemonade because the aftertaste it left in my mouth made me naucous, but the "slimy yuck mouth" started pretty much instantly when I started the cleanse and it was grosing me out big time! My husband made pizza for dinner and it almost made me cry. It was peperonni pizza and I wanted some so bad....I am a vegetarian so that's how I know I was in a serious state of desperation! HELP ME! I found another cleanse that I want to do instead of the lemonade diet but can't afford all that is involved with it so I am going to try to start the MC again, but I need some help. Does anyone out there have problems with the taste of the lemonade like I do? What can I do to make it more bareable? How can I mentally face this and be able to follow it through? Any suggestions?? I did notice the hardest part of the day for me was night time...that was when I cracked. Ugggggg....
Thanks
Dayna
