Hi -
I'm on day 5 of my first cleanse; I've been feeling really chilled the past day and a half...is this a detox symptom?
I keep asking others around me (at work, people not on the cleanse) if they are feeling cold - it appears it's just me.
Please advise!
Thanks,
Ribbit

I'm on day 8 and I've been feeling cold throughout the entire cleanse. My mum-in-law has been doing the cleanse with me and she's suffering from the exact same thing.
I suppose since your body isn't having to digest food, it's almost like "switching off the heater" temporarily.
With the extra energy you get from doing the cleanse, you can run about the place doing a bit more to help heat yourself up. It's what I've tried to do anyway!

Thanks for the reply!
I did take a hot bath last night - really helped.

This is my third MC this year, and during my first two I was FREEZING!!! The first was in January and the second in February so that may have had something to do with it.
I am on day 4 of this cleanse and I haven't been cold at all. I have also been increasing the amount of cayenne I put in my lemonade because I have read that it helps you to eliminate toxins faster. I think it is the increased cayenne that is making me warmer. Cayenne speeds metabolism and increases energy, so it is probably making me warmer too.
I would try adding as much cayenne as you can stand, and if that isn't much, perhaps take a cayenne pill in conjunction with having it in your drink. I bet you'll start to feel warmer.
Give it a try, hope it works.

Thanks, Jessica!
I am warmer today, in fact!
BTW...my "real" name is Jessica, too.
Best regards, and good luck.

My first cleanse was in January of this year, and I had a stuffy nose for the first 5 days. Since then, I have had the usual day-long detox symptoms but nothing else.
If you have a cold, it's probably something that was about to happen anyway and the cleanse is just helping rid you of it. Hope you are feeling warmer.
Tomorrow is day 10 for me and although I have not been hungry or cold the entire cleanse, I can't wait to eat. I thought I would go longer but I am just so bored with the lemonade. This is my 3rd cleanse since January.

Hi guys. Today is my first day on the fast. I'm just getting ready for bed. it went pretty well considering. I love the lemonade, made it through the salt water, am about to have the tea now and am praying tomorrow will be half as easy as today...not likely from what I've been reading. Question, can you drink water as well or is that not allowed? Oh and it's weird but I'm hungry!!! I'll check back in tomorrow. I may sound whiney but I'm actually very excited about that. It's also nice to know you guys are here

Hi Annabelle - Welcome to the MC and the BB!
Yes, you should drink water besides the lemonaid. The more the better. Hope your cleanse goes well :)
