Ok, so my sister has done this cleanse many of times, and she keeps hounding me to try it. I tried it once but only lasted a day, not because I got hungry but because I can't stand the taste. Something about the maple syrup I dunno.
So, now I'm trying it again, this time I started by a week of fruit and veggies, and now I've moved on to just the lemonade, but now on the second day I can't finish a glass without vomitting.
Can anyone give me some guidance? should I stop? is there something else I can do? I'm loving the way I feel already and I really don't want to quit... but I don't know what I'm gonna do if I can't keep this stuff down.
thank you in advance for your help!

EvanS,
Gosh, I wish I could help you! I guess you are doing the SWF and tea? Try drinking the lemonade through a straw. I do that. Some maple syrup I cant stand. Maybe try switching that. I do not have a clue. I'm sorry.
I love the lemonade, but right now I dont have any Maple syrup so I have to use molasses. And, boy, let me tell you it is GROSS, so I kinda feel for ya! I do get a gagging sensation when I drink it. I cant wait until next week when I can go and get some maple syrup!!!
Hang in there!

thanks for the words, its not that I'm gagging just as soon as I get it down its coming back up.
so I dunno I consulted my sister about it and decided for now just to do a watermelon cleanse for a few days and then try the lemonade once more.

Oh YUM!! I love watermelons. They aren't in season where I'm at. But when I get off this cleanse in June I'm going all raw and that is when watermelons will just be coming into season......I CANT WAIT.
Well, I'm sorry this didn't work out for you. Maybe next time.........until then.....too-ta-loo

Dear Patriot Girl, Are you a caffine drinker? My daughter just started the cleanse today, and is very sick to her stomach, along with having an incredibly aching head....how do you press thru, when you can't keep anything down? I am planning to start this in a day or two, so I can support her in it, and get cleaned up too. Is is best to taper off of heavy foods, and just eat fruit and veg. before beginning? Help! Thanks, Jane

her headaches should go away with in another day or so or could already be gone, my first 2 days I had a bad headache because I drink a lot of soda (or did)
since I couldn't keep it down i took a small step back and decided to do the watermelon cleanse (which works well for your kidneys) so yesterday and today I've only had lots of water and lots of watermelon. I plan on giving the lemonade another go probably thursday!

Dear Jane,
Not usually. But the last couple of weeks we've had ALOT of family gatherings going on and thats all everyone seems to drink. So, yes, here lately I had alot of caffeine. I had severe headaches on my first cleanse a little over 2 yrs. ago to the point that I couldn't even stand the light or to get out of bed for 4 days. My husband was VERY supportive and helped me make my lemonade for me. Your daughter NEEDS help and encouragement. Sip the lemonade thru a straw. That is the ONLY way I drink it.. I love it though (w/ maple syrup) the only reason for me thru a straw is to save my teeth. They were hurting wherever the lemonade touched. And I brush my teeth 3X/day too.
Hope this helps.
