View Full Version : Day 3 and no problems--is this a problem?

Hi! I'm mid-way through Day 3 and very happy with things overall. Seems to be going like clock-work according to all my reading (several weeks of reading Burrough's and Peter's books, searching the internet).

But I haven't really had many detox symptoms. Day 2's first elimination was slightly hot, but not burning. I've had several mild and short headaches. I've occasionally been thinking about food but nothing I'd even call cravings. (I've been sitting at the dinner table with my family, making bacon and eggs for my son's lunch, making brownies for my daughter's recital and grocery shopping--all with some degree of difficulty but not outrageous.) I had slight and transitory jaw pain last night and general achiness in the evenings. But really nothing I'd call hard. My tongue is white but certainly not furry.

I've felt amazing! Energy galore. Done workouts both yesterday and today and felt better than the past half dozen times I've tried them. I'm not shaky, weak or tired.

I'm following the plan--nothing but the lemonade (8 oz water, 2 Tbs lemon juice, only 1 Tbs grade B maple syrup and 1/10th tsp cayenne), the Smooth Move, the SWF (32 oz water and 2 tsp non-iodized sea salt), and lots more spring water (about 80 oz or more a day) has passed my lips. Didn't even lick my brownie covered fingers! I didn't begin the tea nor SWF until the evening of Day 1/morning of Day 2 because of I was needing to be out of the house on Day 1 early and all day. I am not loving the lemonade, the tea or the SW but I'm doing them as in Burrough's book. The tea seems to be doing it's job, the SWF works great. My eliminations are what people describe.

Question: I'm only drinking 6 glasses of the lemonade (today trying to drink more) but lots of water (generally 80 oz a day of additional water--with 86 total oz of fluid being needed according to Peter's formula). Should I drink more lemonade? I'm new to cayenne but I'm putting it in every drink.

I have had a very, very SAD diet--little fruits or veggies so I know I must have lots to detox. Why isn't it tougher? Or is the fun yet to begin?

I have mentally prepared for several weeks. So when hunger or thoughts of food or doubts about the cleanse come, I am easily taking every thought captive and brushing them away.

I'm prepared for my "worst days" to be different than the majority. But if I can be doing something else/better to get the detox going I'd like to.

Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Abiding Mama

Hi,

I didn't have any problems on day 3 either. But each of us will have different problems on different days. It sounds like you are doing fine and that's good. Now i'm thinking of chocolate brownies! Just take one day at a time and remember that you can gauge yourself by everyone else, but you won't necessarily have the same symptoms at the same time.

Good luck !
