Sex life while on the Cleanse

I know that this topic is racy...but at the same time, I think it's totally valid. We all want to know how the cleanse will affects our daily lives...part of that can be your sex life!

I have yet to find anything on the topic so I'm starting a post on it. For those of you who have done the cleanse and you have spouses/significant others...well, was your sex life affected by this cleanse? If so, good or bad?

Also, this is a REALLY racy question...so please forgive me...but...should one um...consume semen during the cleanse, or would that be against the rules?

I, being a male have never been with a female who has ever been on the cleanse, in fact the only live person I met who was doing the cleanse was my buddy who I introduced the cleanse to.

My girlfriend didn't feel comfortable eating in front of me, its interesting how much of our lives are spent on food. So going out was a bit different from normal.

I was really preoccupied and obsessive about my breath but never had any complaints about it. I always brush my tongue and use mouthwash.

;) the extra energy and mental clarity made me extra playful... ;D again no complaints about that ;)

;D NOW about the Semen, I've got a further comment/question about it. Common locker room talk says that guys on a fruit heavy diet are supposed to 'taste' different. My girlfriend made no comment because she unfortunately NEVER >:( :'( consumed.

But since you can't even drink certain kinds of water, supposed to stay away from tooth paste, supplements and everything else.. I don't see why that would be any exception. And like mycroftxxx said about the fruity thing. I've heard a lot of things like that. A guy eats certain types of food, it'll taste like it. So whatever food or chemicals is being absorbed by semen, you'll be absorbing it too.


Sex could help detox even faster because you'll be sweating toxins out.. might be kind of gross for the other person though..lol.

That would be a great line to use. "Hey baby lets go detox" rofl.

sorry can't help you with any personal info vis a vis SEX & the CLEANSE, however I will offer up a "bookish" 8) tidbit: In a book called "How to Keep Slim, Healthy & Young with Juice Fasting" (the cleanse is considered by Peter to be a special case of juice fasting) Dr. Paavo Airola says (on p 28 ) in a section called

Well, my hubby's not doing this but, of course, I have been for 19 days. I've been very aware of my breath and try to brush or use listerine as much as possible. (Yes, I know listerine is a no-no). Actually, the listerine kinda stings the tongue! Anyway, any fun type of kissing is on hold until I'm off of this.

Sex-wise has been great! The weight loss has made me feel more confident and hubby appreciates the curves he's seeing. Obviously, you don't want sex in the morning before the tea has worked or after having the SWF!! Afternoon or night are the only safe bets!

As far as swallowing, it might be better not to on the MC. I mean we're being so strict about what goes into our belly, I think our men can wait until we're done here! ;D

SEX is great while on the MC and after, I have personal experience to prove it!
Here is my experience with my hubby:

List:
1. SEX is extraordinary! And it was great before.
2. My skin is softer, silky softer! Hubby loves it.
3. I spell of lemons and the hubby loved my smell before.
4. I have more confidence because I like my new body.
5. With the weight loss, I am more flexible and happier!
6. I have soooo much energy!
7. I am craving sex more too!
8. Hubby is even more attracted to me too!
9. For some reason, we are more creative--use your own imaginations here. It is as if our sex life is "new" again! We both are glowing!
10. About the mouth and brushing, no one said you couldn't brush or clean your mouth. I am obsessed with cleaniness and use the organic baking soda t-paste from Whole Foods.
11. It is proven that people are healthier when they are happy. I say enjoy your sex life! If you aren't having one at this time, then enjoy your life! Both are wonderful!

Okay, since everyone is opening up so will I.

My husband and I both went on this cleanse together. Personally I never "swallow" the stuff. But I do taste it (since it IS in my mouth) And it never bothers me. And I ....um ......do this for him....uuhh...pretty regular. Remember we have 6 children and ...well....you know....it's quicker! But while on this cleanse....I hadn't "relieved" him in a couple of days and it was about day 4 for him (I was 7 days ahead of him on the cleanse). And normally it tastes ( sorry but this is going to be graphic) kinda salty....not bad at all. But this particular day It was all I could do from puking I was absolutely grossed out. It was like ROTTEN stuff. I told him. lol.....not like I could hide it.

Any way he's off the cleanse now he went 13 days...and his "stuff " is back salty again. yeh!
Oh, yeah, we had awesome sex while both on the cleanse. Like someone else said, felt sexy with new Bod! He loved, I loved. Way confident. Sported some new.....well.....clothes. Ha Ha!!

Hello All,
I just signed up to the message board after reading Peter's book. I am on day 7 and am planning on going 21 days. As for the question regarding semen I, too was curious how it would work out and found out that, if your body is already fairly cleaned out it does not stay in your system very long. I and my husband have been, shall we say, active, and that is one of our pleasures. It usually passes through your system within 12-24 hours and, I'm not joking, really, you can see it when it passes in your BM.
So, is it a bad thing to enjoy something that gives you pleasure when you are depriving yourself of food? I don't think so and I don't think it will hurt you or cause you to not 'cleanse properly'. I am feeling great and hope you are all feeling wonderful too.

Gotta bring this back up since I didn't notice a yes or no, and maybe there isn't a definate answer. Is swallowing a yes or no? It does seem to go through your system fast than corn (LOL) so I wouldn't think it would hurt the cleanse, but I'm no expert and have never done this thing. I'm not fond on spitting, so we'd either go the 10 days without (not fun), or go on as normal. Any new comments???

I am not (yet!) on the Cleanse, but I was reading the boards for more information about it, as I would like to go on it within the next month. But I wanted to comment on this topic.

From a purely scientific standpoint, semen is mostly protein and sugars. So, from that perspective, it's a lot closer to "real food" than one might think, although a very small amount of food (usually a teaspoon or less). Therefore, I think it would be best to refrain from consuming it, to keep the fast "pure".

Just my opinion!

I'd like to continue this thread by saying that sexual activity on the MC is more than incredible! I wasn't in a situation to experience the opportunity the first two times on the MC. The only thing is that, knowing what my possibilities for last night were, I refrained from drinking the lax tea last night and doing the SWF this morning. My afterglow makes me feel like the pros of doing this have sure outweighed the cons, however! ;)

my biggest thing is the cleanse decreases my sex drive. So either way, I'm not that into it anyway.

I see that having sex on the cleanse seems to be great (which is great!) but no no ladies have mentioned if they are still on their birth control and if it is effective, or if they have switched to condoms :confused: .
