Should this cleanse be done by someone who has crohns disease or diverticulitis? If so, what should I look out for? How should I break the cleanse, as I have a hard time tolerating raw vegies, fruits and nuts?

Candypal:

I don't have the answer for this, but have you checked with your doctor? You should do that first, just in case it's not a good idea.

I'm sorry you're going through this. I just found out this week that the Bass player for my favorite band has Crohns disease. Rather he just found out. They had to cancel a Europeon Tour because of it. I hate seeing people suffer.

Wouldn't it be really cool if the Master Cleanse helped? What if you tried it for a few days on the weekend to see how you feel? Then if you did OK and it didn't interfere with your work schedule etc, just keep going?

Let me know what you decide. :)

Love,

I would also like to know what your doc says or your experience on the MC with Crohns... I have a very good friend who has been suffereing with Crohns on and off for a while now. This would be a great suggestion to him to try if it helps!

I have a friend with Crohn's too and am very hopeful that we will hear from someone with Crohn's that this diet has helped.

Hi,:) I'm doing the MC & I have diverticulitis. The only thing that triggered me was the senna tea full strength, but the SWF & lemon & pepper mix does'nt bother me. I do mix up the 6 lemonaid ,but then I add 2x's the water to it, making it 120 oz., then when I pure some up I add the pepper to it.
I finish this around 6pm or so, then do the senna tea later.
As far as nuts go, I use a coffee griner to ground them up.
the best thing I can tell you is keep a list of food that cauces you trouble.
As far as raw veggies, do one at a time to see which one is the problem.
Some times it is as ez as using the food proseser to fix that. fruits, try smoothies. & again need to find out which fruit is giving you triggers.
I have been a vegan for over 6 years, & I'm going raw vegan.
I just started the MC June 26st 2006, plan to go as long as it takes to get totally detoxed.:D
