I did my first MC last January & became vegetarian--mostly vegan--right after the cleanse. I'm not raw vegan--still eating too many processed & frozen foods--but I'm now eating more fiber & digesting things...um...differently (my husband is ready to throw me out of the house :o ).

Am I missing enzymes that may help me more comfortably digest food & not get so gassy? Garlic is a culprit, but I can't live without it. Are there raw foods I can eat to help this situation? I'd rather not take supplements like Bean-o--I'd prefer to eat something naturally that would help. Would pro-biotics help (again, I'm anti pill popping--prefer to eat differently)?

Any advice or suggestions on reading material, other websites, etc would be most appreciated--I have no idea where to start. My husband thanks you as well!

PS - looking forward to a MC2 in a couple weeks! During the MC was the only time in my life I wasn't gassy & bloated--what a great feeling!!!

Hi Eram:

The situation sounds volatile! :D I don't know the answer but perhaps someone else all raw will chime in.

Peppermint tea helps calm the stomach. You might want to try a cup or two to see if it helps. Garlic causes gas in many of us but I'm not doing without it either! :)

Hang in there.

Love,

Papain is excellent for gas. It is a papaya based, enzyme. Try it :)
