The recipe for almond milk in Master Cleanse book calls for sesame or safflower oil....can you use coconut oil or peanut oil instead?

I don't see why not. I'm going to check out the recipe because I've made almond milk for EONS and I've never used oil!

Hey Res, would you mind sharing YOUr recipe for almond milk or point me in the direction of a recipe that doesn't require the oil? Thanks

Hi Stormy and sorry for the late response - it's crazy here!

THIS is my favorite Almond Milk:

1 cup raw almonds
20 - 28 oz pure water (spring water)
6-8 pitted chopped dates

Place 6 oz of water into blender with other ingredients. Blend for 2 minutes on high speed. Add rest of water, blend again and refrigerate. (I usually strain mine although you don't have to). :)

Res, that sounds awesome!!
I'll try that way next time,.

I'll share my recipe too as it is good, too.

1/2 c. soaked, peeled almonds
1/2 t. vanilla extract
3 T. agave nectar
blender 3/4 full of water
1T. hemp/flax oil (OPTIONAL)

Put in blender and whir up for a minute or so.
I personally like the oil in mine, it makes it a little heavier( more like milk from animal) That's all I'm used to right now since I've been on the SAD diet all of my life.

My children help me peel the almonds. Takes about 5 min.
ENJOY
