Hello from Houston:

I studied the books and read the fantastic entries throughout the bulletin board. I have a question:
Did anyone else feel the 'blues', or kind of weepy?? when they started this.... I am only on my first day, but my head is killing me and I feel so weepy, which is the opposite of my usual indep., happy nature.

Thanks for any avail. advice!

All the best,

Sheryl

Aww, hi Sheryl: Yes, the blues can be for a number of reasons. One of them is that food provides a sort of "comfort" and it's like saying goodbye (for a while) to a close friend or someone you love BECAUSE you depend on the food to fill a space inside. Grab a pillow and a blanket and just allow yourself to feel the blues.

Hi, Res!

I've seen your posts throughtout the board and they have helped me so much. Thanks for responding to my posting....I thought it might be just another symptom much like what other peopole are experiencing; it has been just awful. So sad. You are right...it has been my crutch and my comfort. eek. Then I got really sick last night. I think my body is just adjusting...and detoxing. Thanks for your sweet, sweet 'Hug'! I needed it! :)

Have a great day,

Sheryl

Sheryl:

When I begin each cleanse, I get flu-like symptoms. It's detox and the first 3 days are the roughest. But you can do it. Hang in there and check back with us on the board for support. Keep in mind you're ridding your body of toxins and mucous so a fight will ensue, but you'll win. :)

i too feel the blues. when I think about what I am doing, I am proud of myself, but I also feel alone. Until I read what Res said, i didn't realize how much I depend on food to fill time and make me happy. Thanks. It is just one more way that this is going to change all of my habits.

Hi Michelle,

The "blues" feeling will subside soon. Hang in there. You're right about doing something for yourself and it's fantastic, no one else can do this for you. SO in a way you are alone and yet not because we're here for you! :) http://www.kurts-smilies.de/gruppe.gif
