I always wonder this. It totally makes sense to me that we're supposed to eat Earth's food, veggies, fruits, berries and nuts. But what's confusing is when I see vegans and their skin is horrible, they look very unhealthy, etc. Of course there are vegans who look amazing and have beautiful skin, hair, etc, but it completely baffles me when I see vegans that look worse than most fast food eating everyday people

i think that part of the reason is that some people go into being vegan or even vegatarian or raw without knowing how to do it right.
I've been vegetarian for 13 years and vegan for 1.5 and i definely got into being vegetarian without enough info to be healthy. I used to eat tonnes of side dishes like rice and and bread and potatoes and stuff that didn't have meat in it but wasn't necessarily healthy. then i put on weight. Then during college I was too busy and too broke to eat well so a bag of microwave popcorn was concidered dinner and a snickers bar was lunch.
Since then I've cooked alot more and have great vegetarian and now vegan dishes that are healthy and yummy.
When I became vegan my health improved drastically. Cutting cheese out made a drastic difference. also, i learned more about balancing foods and having enough beans and legumes as well as healthy nuts and oils. And what foods are good for what so I keep myself balanced.
So my point is, perhaps alot of people who are vegan aren't eating enough things - as in, enough vegan options. like when I was a teenager who ate cheese sandwiches all the time because my mother refused to cook vegetarian meals.
