Hi everyone,

I want to buy a dehydrator but I can't afford an Excalibur. I saw one from a brand called Ronco that costs about $40, but I don't know if it's worth it, and the last thing I need is to spend money on something that doesn't work well. Does anyone here have, had, or know something about Ronco dehydrators? I plan to dry mostly fruits and veggies, but I'd love to eventually try to make a beef jerky too.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!!!:)

Hey, I was looking around the posts and just came across this one today. Just letting you know I've had a Ronco dehydrator for probably about 20 years and the thing works great. 8)

I think that's the one I have as well and it's been working fine for about the same amount of time.

Since you really won't be using it that much on a regular basis (oh you go gung ho at first ;)) why fork out a wad of cash when you can buy a cheaper one that does the same thing?

Check out this Ronco food dehydrator for $10.50 on ebay: Ronco (http://Ronco)

Hope this helps. :)
